How I feel about the legalization of polyandry in South Africa?
Is this a good thing or bad thing for our country? Will a woman survive having more than one husband ,while having one is a nightmare? How will they explain to their children that they have two fathers ?

I am very much against polyandry. It is foreign and un-African to me . Many want to be equal to men but in this case I think this is taken too far . Yes it is a relief that we as women are finally liberated, we're finally taken into consideration. We are not as restricted as we used to be .Society will no longer perceive is promiscuous for having more than one man. And that's great !
However will it work? It is a controversial topic, I stand to be corrected though . Women are sensitive beings ,when they love ,they love very hard . I don't think it's possible to truly love one man as a woman . One will be neglected. However we do have a lot of needs ,so maybe all of those needs will be fulfilled in polyandry. The question should be tough ,can we fulfill men's needs? We can't even manage monogamous relationships, how much more polyandry?
According to the Bible ,which we believe in . Polyandry is considered as sexual immorality. And these type of relationship are not blessed ,at all . We should leave the excitement and face the reality that comes with this law . Many people in this country face serious hardships everyday in their relationships. Yes there are women who have money ,they can take care of more than one family - financially but I doubt they can handle the emotional part of having more than one husband .

So every time a child is born more DNA tests will have to be taken . Already children in this country are exposed to DNA tests every single day because of their fathers who are denying them . It is most definitely going to cause conflict between the involved parties. However with these statements I'm not praising polygamy. Polygamy is also another conversation that we need to address as a society . It is also emotional and psychologically draining . Already men are cheaters ,so imagine both your husbands cheating on you . So you will get two times affected.
Also no man's ego will allow such to happen . Yes we may think we are equal to men . We can rule the country ,get access to all jobs they can get but I do not think having more than one husband is a way to strive or fight for gender equality. I feel like our leaders with Home Affairs in partnership should rethink this law . I don't think our country is fit for such .
I stand with leaders and members of our country that are against polyandry and polygamy . How much more GBV cases can our country endure . This will be also a contributing factor to GBV if it continues.
